Osborne on "George Junior Republic"

Mr. Thomas M. Osborne '84 will speak in the Living Room of the Union tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock on "An Experiment in Democratic Education, the George Junior Republic."

Mr. Osborne was graduated from Harvard in 184 and soon after became connected with the George Junior Republic and the work it is doing. He was a delegate to the National Democratic Convention in 1896 and two years later ran for lieutenant-governor of New York State on the Citizens' Union ticket. In 1899, he was appointed by Theodore Roosevelt, then governor, a delegate to the Trust Conference in Chicago. Since June, 1907, Mr. Osborne has been a member of the Public Utilities Commission in New York.
