The twelfth annual convention of the Associated Harvard Clubs will open today at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel, Philadelphia. Nearly 600 graduates are expected to be present. This evening a smoker will be held at the hotel, and tomorrow morning there will be the regular business session at which the newly organized Harvard Club of Boston will apply for admission. The Philadelphia Harvard Club will be in charge, and tomorrow afternoon will take the visiting delegates for a sail down Delaware Bay.
The formal dinner will be held tomorrow evening, and President Eliot, as the representative of the University, will be the guest of honor. Mr. E. C. Felton '79, president of the Philadelphia Harvard Club, will preside, and Owen Wister '82 will act as toastmaster. Mr. H. H. Furness '88 will give the welcoming address, and the other speakers will be Mr. C. F. Adams '56, Mr. A. G. Fox '69, and Hon. A. E. Willson '69, governor of Kentucky. On Sunday there will be an excursion to Atlantic City.
