The second day's practice for the University and Freshman crew squads was held yesterday under the direction of Coaches Wray, Stephenson, and Browne. The work on the machines was followed by a short run to get the men into condition.
O. D. Filley 2G. has been appointed coach of the Freshman crew subject to the ratification of the Athletic Committee. Filley rowed on the University crew for four years, and was at stroke for three years. He was captain of the crew in 1905 and 1906.
Changes have been made in the assignments to squads. Today the squads will report as follows: at 4--Bacon, E. Cutler, R. Cutler, Faulkner, Lunt, Sargent, Waid, L. Withington; at 4.15--Eaton, Ellis, Forster, Hooper, Richardson, Smith, Waite, P. Withington; at 4.30--Beane, Hanfstaengl, Harding, Jowett, Loring, Marvin, Maxwell, Peabody, Richards, Richardson, Shillito.
