Track practice for the University and Freshman teams was held on the Stadium track yesterday afternoon for the first time this season, under the supervision of Coaches Donovan and Quinn. On account of the cold weather of the past few days, the track was rather soft. The jumping pits are not yet in condition, but every effort will be made to have them in shape as soon as possible.
All candidates held light practice in order to become accustomed to the new work. The sprinters took short runs on the straightaway and the distance men jogged four easy laps. All candidates will hereafter report for practice daily, and systematic work will begin at once.
Arrangements are being made to enlarge the Freshman schedule by two practice meets with Exeter and Andover, in preparation for the Yale meet, May 22.
