Hyde French Lectures by E. Boutroux

The Hyde lectures given under the auspices of the Cercle Francais will be delivered by Professor Emile Boutroux, member of the Institute of France. The first series of eight lectures on "Liberte et Contingence" will be given in connection with Philosophy 4, in Emerson D at 4.30 o'clock on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between March 7 and 23 inclusive. Although primarily for students taking Philosophy 4, these lectures will be open to the public.

A second series of four public lectures will be given in the New Lecture Hall by M. Boutroux at 4 o'clock on the following days: March 8, "Pascal"; March 10, "Auguste Comte": March 17, "L'Essence de la Religion"; March 22, "Le Mouvement Philosophique Contemporain on France." Tickets for the public lectures may be obtained free of charge from H. B. H. Ripley '12, Claverly 1. No tickets will be needed for the lectures given in connection with Philosophy 4.
