Freshmen Played Second Team

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After holding a short signal drill against the substitutes, in which no tackling was allowed, the Freshman football team played two 12-minute periods against the second University team, during which neither side scored. The Freshmen could not gain on straight football, but recovered a number of kicks and fumbles, while the second, though much stronger on the offence, missed two attempted field-goals, and lost several opportunities for touchdowns through fumbling. Ohler, Jenckes, Gardiner and Dana played well.
