The Freshman baseball team defeated St. George's School yesterday afternoon at Newport, R. I., by the score of 5 to 0. The Freshmen played the best game of the season, their opponents reaching second base only once.

In the sixth inning, Coon hit to centre field and went to third on a fumble, scoring later on Tomes's scratch hit. In the eighth inning, four runs were made. Bartholf singled to centre field, Brown followed with another to left and Coon made a two-base hit, scoring both men. Tomes received a base on balls and stole second after Coon had gone to third on a wild throw. Coon scored on Lowrey's hit. Later Tomes scored on the pitcher's wild throw to third base.

Bartholf pitched a good game for the Freshmen allowing no bases on balls and keeping his hits well scattered.
