Hon. H. H. D. Peirce '71, United States Ambassador to Norway, will speak on "Diplomatic Life in Russia" in Brattle Hall this afternoon at 4.45 o'clock. He will also deliver a second lecture, on "The Land of the Vikings in Brattle Hall on November 29.
Mr. Peirce has been prominent in diplomatic circles since 1894, when he was appointed secretary of the United States Legation at St. Petersburg. In 1898, he was appointed secretary of the Ministry and held that position for several years. He acted as U. S. charge d'affaires on a number of occasions, and finally was appointed ambassador to Norway in 1906, which position he has held ever since.
Tickets at 75 cents for each lecture, or $1.25 for both, may be obtained at Amee's bookstore, Harvard square.
