The Phi Beta Kappa Society held a reception and dinner in honor of the 30 men recently elected from the Senior and Junior classes in the Union yesterday evening. At the reception President Lowell presented the keys to the new members and the batons to the marshals, and C. H. Haberkorn, Jr., '12 read a short sketch on the Society's history. Dean E. R. Thayer '88, of the law School, acted as toastmaster and introduced the following speakers: W. C. Lane '81, C. E. Hughes, Jr., 3L., Brown '09, Professor G. H. Palmer '64, Dr. E. E. Day, Dartmouth '05, Rev. O. M. Voorhees, Rutgers '88, J. G. Gilkey '12, and President Lowell.
