The results of the first day of play in the twentieth annual intercollegiate chess tournament being held in the rooms of the West Side Republican Club, New York City, were as follows: Harvard 4, Princeton 0; Columbia 4, Yale 0. The teams will be paired in the remaining two days of play as follows: Today--Harvard vs. Yale, Columbia vs. Princeton; tomorrow--Harvard vs. Columbia, Yale vs. Princeton.
