RULES FOR SCRUB HOCKEY

Entries Close at 5 o'clock. -- Series to Begin Tomorrow or Friday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The entry list for the scrub hockey series closes this afternoon at 5 o'clock and all men who wish to enter, either as teams or as individuals, should do so in the blue-books at Leavitt & Peirce's before that time. A list of the rules governing the entries has been placed on one of the blue-books and should be carefully followed. A complete list of the teams entered and their members will be published in the CRIMSON before the series begins. Notices of the time and place of each day's games will appear in the CRIMSON, and teams which do not report within 15 minutes of the scheduled time will forfeit the game.

The series will begin probably tomorrow or Friday, if there is ice. The complete schedule of games will be posted in the CRIMSON Office and all games must be played when scheduled, provided there is ice. Every team must have a manager who will take complete charge of running the team. These men must arrange for the officials for each game and send a list of the members who played to the assistant manager of the University team at the Athletic Office after every game. Teams unable to play at scheduled times must give notice at least one day ahead. Scores of games must be recorded on the schedule posted in the CRIMSON Office before 8 o'clock on the day of each game.

Only eight teams, and barely enough individuals to form two more have entered so far, as against 14 teams two years ago and 18 teams last year. All men interested in hockey who have not entered already are urged to do so today either on teams or individually, and all men who have been cut from the University and Freshman squads are expected to do so. The games will be carefully watched and any men showing ability will be tried out on the University or Freshman squads. Individual cups will be awarded to members of the winning team.
