HARVARD VS. RED SOX.

The opening game of the 1913 baseball season today in Fenway Park between Harvard and the Boston team of the American League should be of more than ordinary interest inasmuch as it will furnish the first real opportunity of judging the strength of the Harvard team. Bad weather conditions have materially retarded outdoor practice, and though the men have shown up well in the Cage and in the few practice games that have been played, there has so far been no chance to see them working under really favorable conditions. The season opened with prospects very uncertain. There were practically no veterans to begin with as a nucleus, and so the problem has been to build up an almost entirely new team. In spite of these obstacles the team has made good progress and deserves our heartiest support. So to Captain Wingate and the players we extend our best wishes for a successful season.
