The University crew squad started the fall rowing season yesterday afternoon, when three eights paddled up the river to the first bridge and back. The crews rowed easily, paying more attention to form than to speed.

The temporary orders in which the crews rowed yesterday were:

First.--Stroke, Chanler; 7, Schall; 6, Parson; 5, Murray; 4, Harwood; 3, Saltonstall; 2, Talcott; bow, Captain Q. Reynolds; cox., Gallaher.

Second.--Stroke, Chichester; 7, Meyer; 6, Graham; 5, Walker; 4, Busk; 3, Storrow; 2, E. D. Curtis; bow, Carver; cox., K. Greger.

Third.--Stroke, Lund; 7, Emerson; 6, H. S. Middendorf; 5, Esty; 4, E. Reynolds; 3, Boyer; 2, Herrick; bow, Whitmarsh; cox., Enright.
