To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

In reply to Saturday's editorial in the CRIMSON, I wish to point out that the proposed regulations for concentration would work just as well with the present distribution requirements as the set of rules for concentration now in force.

I think that there can be little doubt that any set of restrictions worthy of the name will necessitate a considerable amount of thought on the part of students with regard to their choice of courses. It is not the difficult and advanced course that is lightly embarked upon and chosen as though from a grabbag.

Lastly I do not think that the elective system has shown unexpected developments which will enable the present Freshman class to choose more happily than that of 1914. ALFRED WALTER '14.
