Prize for Thesis on Plumbing

A prize of $200 will be offered by Mr. Waddill Catchings 1901 A.B. 1904 L.L.B., for the best thesis on a subject related to house plumbing or the materials used in such systems. The subject must be approved in writing by Professor George C. Whipple before November 15, 1914. The thesis must contain from 5000 to 10,000 words exclusive of tables and drawings, and must be handed in on or before May 1, 1915. Theses must be typewritten and three copies furnished. Awards will be made by a committee appointed by Professor Whipple and Mr. Gifford LeClear, lecturer on the Mechanical Portions of Buildings in the Department of Architecture. In making the award special consideration will be given to theses based on original investigations. This contest will be open to all students in the University.
