Teams A and B of the University hockey squad had a spirited 20-minute scrimmage at the Arena yesterday afternoon which resulted in a 3 to 3 tie although team A had slightly the better of the contest. The squad showed the best team play of the season and their shooting and passing was good; but they lacked the "jump" so essential on as small a surface as that of the St. Nicholas rink in New York. If the University can acquire this "jump" before Saturday night, they should be in excellent condition to meet Princeton.

The goals for Team A were scored by Curtis, Townsend and Kissel, while Baker scored twice for team B and Doty once. The second-string defense showed up exceedingly well and both Clark and Doty played a strong game. Captain Claflin showed his usual ability on both offense and defense and Wylde made numerous excellent stops. Harte also showed up well at goal for team B. Townsend and Phillips for team A and Baker and Fisher for team B were the strongest of the line-men.

Teams A and B lined up as follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. Cunningham, Curtis, l.w.  r.w., Wanamaker, Bliss, Baldwin Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Baker Phillips, r.c.  l.c., Fisher Baldwin, Wanamaker, Kissel, r.w.  l.w., Curtis, Cunningham Claflin, c.p.  c.p., Doty Morgan, p.  p., Clark Wylde, g.  g., Harte
