Rare Reproductions on Exhibition

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A collection of reproductions of frescoes, vases, and other objects which illustrate the prehistoric culture of Greece has been placed on exhibition at the Fogg Art Museum. Most of the important relics of this culture are reproduced, including many objects from Knossos, reproductions of stone and clay vases from Melos, and fragments of plant forms from Hagia, Triada.

The collection is the gift of Mrs. Schuyler Van Rensselaer, of New York, in memory of her son, George Griswold Van Rensselaer '96. The only other large collection of such reproductions in this country is in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
