Gore Hall won its fourth championship of the year yesterday afternoon when its baseball team defeated the Standish team by the score of 10 to 3. The game was close up to the seventh inning when the victors scored three runs, and continued their heavy hitting, counting five times in the eighth, until Shaughnessy was removed from the box and replaced by Kidder. Blair for Gore Hall pitched steady ball and only during one inning, the third, did he get into any bad holes. The members of the championship Gore Hall team will be given miniature silver baseballs for their consistent work. During the series Gore Hall won six and lost four games, while Standish and Smith Halls tied for second place with four victories and five defeats each.
The summary:
Batteries: Blair and Whitney; Shaughnessy, Kidder, Richmond.
