The competitions for positions on the literary, photographic, and business departments on the Illustrated will open with a smoker to Freshmen and Sophomores at the Illustrated office, 27 Holyoke street, Friday evening at 7.30 o'clock. The work will be outlined and refreshments will be served.
The literary competition does not require exceptional writing ability as much as originality of ideas; while in the photographic work any candidate who can take good pictures will not be handicapped for lack of a camera. The competitions will close at mid-years with the election of two or three men from each class.
