Columbia again asserted her supremacy at chess by overwhelming her opponents in the twenty-fourth annual intercollegiate chess tournament, held at the Murray Hill Hotel, New York, last week. The Blue and White team won 10 1/2 games out of a possible 12; Princeton was second, with 6 games, the University following half a game behind. Yale was left far in the rear with only 2 games to her credit.

The University led at the end of the first day's play, taking 3 1/2 games from Yale. Columbia was second with three games. The next day, however, Columbia took all four contests from the University and jumped far into the lead, which she increased in the final session by winning three matches from Yale. The University split even, 2 to 2, with Princeton.

The New Yorkers made the best individual scores in the tournament, A. J. Mandell and N. W. Kempf each winning three out of a possible four games, while no other player was able to win more than two games. L. Le Fevre '17 was high man for the University, with two games to his credit.
