UNIVERSITY TEAM TIED B. A. A.

Weak Passing and Shooting in Fast Half Hour Scrimmage.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University hockey team and the B. A. A. played a fast half-hour's scrimmage at the Arena yesterday afternoon, resulting in a 1 to 1 tie. After the University forwards had bombarded Donahue, the B. A. A. goal, for 10 minutes without avail, Curtis whipped the puck past him on a short shot. Both sevens played at top speed, and Coach Winsor sent in many substitutes to freshen the University line. After several brilliant dashes, Skilton finally took the puck down the rink, through the defence, and evened the score for the B. A. A.

Passing continues to be the weak point in the University's playing. The forwards lost several chances to score yesterday by attempting to play the puck through single-handed instead of passing when they had the opportunity, while many of the passes that were tried, as well as many attempted shots at the net, went astray. A number of the players have colds, and Dr. Frothingham has ordered them to keep off the ice today, in order to get in shape again. J. C. Harris '17 has recently joined the squad.

The teams lined up at the start of the scrimmage as follows: HARVARD.  B. A. A. W. Morgan, l.w.  r.w., Wendell Curtis, l.c.  r.c., Sands Percy, r.c.  l.c., Burkhardt Thacher, r.w.  l.w., Brown Doty, c.p.  c.p., Skilton J. Morgan, p.  p., Huntington Wylde, g.  g., Donahue
