PRIZE OF $35 FOR REVIEW

American Association for International Conciliation to Hold Contest for College Critics.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The International Polity Club has announced a prize of $35.00 which the American Association for International Conciliation is offering for the best review of the book, "War, Nationalism and Society," by Professor Edward Benjamin Krehbiel, of Leland Stanford.

Professor Krehbiel, who was for a time a student at the University, is a director of the Intercollegiate Peace Association, and a member of the advisory board of the World Peace Foundation of Boston. He has written numerous books among which are "The Interdict," "Sixty-Seven Reasons for the Navy League" and "Syllabus of Lectures on International Conciliation," with David Starr Jordan.

The prize is open to any member of any International Polity Club or similar organization at an American university. In addition to the first prize, an additional prize of $5.00 will be given to the member of each club writing the best review.

Each essay is to be typewritten and not over 2,000 words in length, and handed to A. G. Aldis '17, Randolph 2, before December 10. A few copies of the book may be obtained from him. The review should be signed by a pseudonym, and an envelope with his name on the outside, containing the real name of the author with his permanent address enclosed, is also to be sent.

The final award of the prize will be made not later than January 15, 1917, by judges to be selected by the Association, and notice will be sent to the winning contestant at that time.
