Members of the University are invited to compete in the Intercollegiate Ski and Snowshoe Meet at the Dartmouth Winter Carnival which will be held on February 10, 11 and 12. The meet will consist of a varied program of dashes and cross-country runs both on skis and snowshoes and a ski-jumping contest.

The Dartmouth Outing Club, under whose auspices the Carnival is given, has planned a better program than ever before. In addition to the outdoor events, various social and athletic functions have been arranged, including performances by the Dartmouth Dramatic Association and the Dartmouth Musical Clubs, the Carnival Ball, a supper dance, and an international hockey game with the University team of Bishop College. The Yale Basketball Team will also meet Dartmouth in Hanover at that time.

The fact that the Rev. John E. Johnson, Dartmouth '66, honorary President of the Outing Club, has given an endowment to the Club, will help make the Carnival the biggest event of this kind ever held in America.

The committee in charge have invited students from every American and Canadian university and college to compete in the meet and hope particularly that teams of several men will be able to represent some universities. All competitors will go to Hanover as guests of the Outing Club and will receive complimentary tickets to all complimentary affairs.

Any men who are interested in attending the Winter Carnival should communicate immediately with L. H. Bell, Secretary of the Club, Box 291, Hanover, New Hampshire, who will furnish more detailed information.
