HARRIERS WILL RACE M. I. T.

First Dual Meet over Belmont Course this Afternoon at 3.

The University cross-country runners will take part in the first dual meet of the season against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Belmont this afternoon at 3 o'clock. This will not, however, be the first race of the year for most of the men, because they ran last Saturday in the B. A. A. contest as a team representing the R. O. T. C.

Last year the race with Technology, which was the first of the season, was won quite easily by the University team, but this fall Technology has nearly an entire team of veterans, and accordingly a hard contest is in sight for Coach Farrell's men. B. Lewis '20, who was elected captain of the University harriers, on Thursday, is one of the favorites to win the race, while several other members of the squad should place well up near the front. The race starts from the Belmont High School, and the men who are to run will meet in the Square at 2 o'clock.

While the University harriers are competing with Tech at Belmont, 17 Freshman runners will travel to Andover, where their race is scheduled for 3 o'clock. Last year the Freshman team won an easy victory by the score of 15 to 44, taking all the first five places. Coach Farrell, who will accompany the 1921 harriers, expects to repeat with another win this afternoon.
