FRANKLIN ROWING IN FIRST BOAT

Coach Herrick Not to Take Charge of Crews Until April.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

It was stated today by the crew management that Coach Herrick will probably not be able to take charge of the work of the University crews until the first of April. Mr. Herrick, who recently underwent a severe attack of the grippe, is recuperating at Hot Springs, Va. Until he returns Coach Haines will continue as head coach.

There was a shift in the first two boats today when J. M. Franklin '18, formerly rowing number four in the second eight, was shifted to number four in the first, replacing M. Taylor '18, who has had difficulties with the Office.

As the ice on the river is still 12 inches thick, real rowing is some time off.
