At the annual spring meeting and dinner of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau held in Memorial Hall on Monday evening, Carl Wesley Painter 2L, University of Minnesota 1915, of Minneapolis, Minn., was elected president of the Bureau for the ensuing year, and Edward Marion Hay 2L, Williams 1915, of Spokane, Wash., was elected to the board of directors. The appointment by the Phillips Brooks House Association of Phillips Bradley 1L, of Lincoln, to the office of vice-president, was ratified also at the meeting.
The Bureau maintains an office in Central square, where members of the organization give free legal aid to persons unable to engage the services of a lawyer. Since the beginning of the scholastic year, 95 cases have been aided by the Bureau.
