All draft registrants, except Class 1 men who are qualified for general military service, and who registered before September 12, are now eligible for special induction into the coast artillery.

The officers training camp at Fort Monroe, Va., is also open to applicants who have an acceptable knowledge of algebra, plain geometry, trigonometry, and the use of logarithims, and offers an exceptional opportunity at the present time for those qualified to take the course. Men above 31, who were negistrants of September 12, 1918, are particularly desirable.

The non-commissioned staff officers' school at Fort Monroe has a course of three months, and is to be open to all draft registrants who are not specifically excluded by regulation.

In addition to the men who will take the course of study at Fort Monroe, there are also needed draftsmen, mechanics of all kinds, chauffeurs, electricians, cooks, bandsmen, and privates, and a good opportunity for advancement is open to all. Applicants for all grades should apply in person or by mail to the headquarters, North Atlantic coast artillery district, 99 Chauncey street, Boston, Mass, or to the headquarters of the coast defences nearest to their homes.
