Boston Has Big Lead On New York

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Boston's gain yesterday of $33,000 toward the Harvard Endowment Fund put the local district more than $400,000 ahead of New York. An especial effort will be made to reach those who have not yet contributed and those who are in a position to add to their subscriptions.

It is expected that the full benefits of the class canvass will not be obtained for several days, although the gain yesterday was encouraging.

The totals were as follows: Boston,  $4,093,049 New York,  3,681,923 Outside,  2,513,658 Total,  $10,288,630
