In its two previous contests, the team has displayed great batting ability and has developed some fast fielders in Captain G. S. Baldwin '21, at short-stop and R. B. Shaw '21 at third. The nine's first game resulted in a 4 to 3 victory over Middlesex, and the second in a 10 to 7 win from Andover, both of whom were undefeated up to the time of their meeting with the second string players.

The Dean Academy team in strong and well-balanced; and the Freshman nine was able to defeated it only after a 12 inning contest, which ended in a 3 to 2 score.
