"The Big Three"

Harvard College was founded that the future of the colony in which it had its birth should not be left to an illiterate ministry. An educated class is not at all less important to the future immediately before us. The special hope for that class is now to be found in that portion of the undergraduate body which, for physical reasons, is not enrolled in the S. A. T. C.

The situation of these young men will not be other than trying. They will inevitably feel somewhat "out of it", though most of them, it is safe to say, would give all they possess to stand with the military majority. As a class they will deserve every bit of recognition and encouragement which the College and its members can give them. In their hands will lie an important element of the future. It is for everybody to help them realize this fact, and to speed them on their difficult way. The Alumni Bulletin.
