The first post-bellum competition for the news, business, and editorial departments of the CRIMSON will commence on Monday. All candidates will report on that day at the CRIMSON Building, 14 Plympton street at 7 o'clock in the evening.
This year there will be two separate sets of competitions, one commencing next week, the other at the beginning of the third term in March; making each competition approximately nine weeks in length.
Freshmen and Sophomores will be eligible for the news and business competitions. The editorial competitions, beginning Monday and again in March are open only to Juniors, and are the final chances for members of the Class of 1920 to make the Board of Editors. None of the competitions require previous experience.
Each competition affords the candidates an opportunity to become thoroughly familiar with the various phases of University life.
An excellent opportunity of gaining valuable business experience as well as a wide acquaintance among the leading mercantile forces of New England, is afforded the candidates for the business end. The work consists of soliciting subscriptions, securing advertisements, and a small amount of clerical work.
