On next Monday evening at 5 o'clock the first call for second assistant track manager candidates will be issued. All Sophomores who wish to try for that position should report at that hour at a place to be announced later. The successful candidate becomes manager in his Senior year and is awarded a track "H." Besides the position of track manager that of cross-country manager is open, and will be awarded in the same competition. The competition will last until about May 15, when the Yale meet is staged. The position of track manager is especially desirable this year because of the fact that there is a strong probability that the track team will go to Europe next year, and of course the managers will accompany the team.
Practice for the University was light yesterday. The track work consisted mainly of baton passing and sprinting, in which E. O. Gourdin '21 and R. Chute '22 showed good form. In the Cage there was practice for the field events, especially for the pole-vaulters.
