The meeting at the Union tonight to organize the James A. Shannon Post of the American Legion deserves more than a mere complimentary attendance on the part of the undergraduate body, including these men who are members of local posts elsewhere. All former men in the University who have not already affiliated themselves with the organization are strongly urged to do so. College men especially should not allow their responsibility to terminate with the coming of peace.
The American Legion, with its tremendous enrollment, is capable of performing an inestimable service to the country.
It is the duty of University men to exert their influence that this service be maintained on an altruistic and patriotic plane.
