Sammy Kramar, Youthful Violinist, Gives Early Promise of Real Genius

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Sammy Kramar, the seven-year old violinist who played in Symphony Hall, last Friday carried off the big proposition which he had undertaken, with laudable success. His playing convinced one that the child appreciated the spirit of the piece and was not mere puppet-work. Though at times noticeably forced to fill the large hall, his tone frequently possessed a rich, appealing quality.

For a child of seven, his technique may well be called remarkable. His bow arm displayed considerable facility and his left hand encountered skips and double stops with accuracy.

With careful and patience guidance Sammy should become one of those rare mortals--an artist.
