Today is the last day for receiving manuscripts for the Francis Bott Prize of $100 offered annually to all members of the University for the best composition of concerted vocal music. They should be handed in to Mr. Arthur Foote at 81 Green Street today. The title page of each manuscript must be signed with some motto or assumed name, which should also be placed on the outside of a sealed envelope containing the real name of the competitor.
Also compositions for the George Arthur Knight Prize of $75 for the best composition in instrumental music must be handed in today, to Dr. A. T. Davison. Preference will be given for compositions for string quartettes or trios, though works with piano accompaniment may compete.
