In two matches Saturday afternoon, the University squash team divided honors, Team A losing 5 straight games to the Harvard Club of Boston, and Team B shutting out the Quincy Neighborhood Club 5-0.
Class A matches were as follows: G. D. Hayword defeated Malcolm Bradlee '22, 15-19, 15-10, 10-15, 16-13; F. W. Buxton defeated L. A. Eldridge '21, 15-8, 15-9, 15-5; H. V. Greenough defeated H. C. Janin '22, 15-10, 15-11, 15-12; R. B. Wigglesworth defeated Amory Houghton '21, 15-12, 15-8, 15-11; A. L. Deven defeated D. McK. Key '22, 15-7, 15-10, 15-7.
Team B was: C. Wakefield '22 beat M. A. Blackmur, 15-12, 15-11, 15-6; M. P. Baker '22 beat P. Blackmur 15-8, 15-11, 15-11; C. J. Mason '22 beat F. Albright, 15-8, 15-12, 15-10; F. W. Crocker '22 beat H. Schenlseberger, 15-12, 15-18, 14-7, 15-12; E. M. Hinkle '23 beat H. S. Barker, 15-6, 15-11, 15-12. The University men showed better form than thus far this season, using place shots to advantage. A new challenging rule is going into effect whereby the results of the challenges take effect from day to day instead of at the end of the week.
