TO CLOSE FALL TRACK WITH HANDICAP MEET

University Runners to Rest After Tomorrow's Meet Until Indoor Practice Begins in January--Nearly 100 Men to Compete

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The second year of fall track practice at the University will close tomorrow with the annual fall handicap meet. The meet is open to all members of the University and those who neglected to sign the blue books yesterday may enter at the field before the meet starts. The field officials will judge the handicaps of those men who have not been out for practice this fall as fairly as possible and all will start on an equal footing. Gold, Silver, and bronze medals will be given the winners of the first three places in each event.

There will be no track practice this afternoon, and after tomorrow's meet the University squad will rest, except for voluntary exercise, until the indoor work starts early in January. Coach Bingham's idea in inaugurating fall track practice last year, was merely that the men might gain experience and become accustomed to competition. Four weeks' work is considered sufficient for this purpose and fast times are not to be expected at this season of the year.

Freshmen to Continue Practice

Freshmen who have selected track to fulfill their physical training requirements, will continue practice at the Hemenway Gymnasium beginning next Monday. At 3 o'clock on that afternoon. Coach W. J. Bingham '16 will address these men and any who expect to go our for the 1925 team in the spring. Thereafter practice will be held regularly at 4 o'clock every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Nearly 100 men have entered for tomorrow's meet, the 100-yard dash being the most popular with 22 entries. The high jump, broad jump, and pole vault will be held first, the other events being run off as follows:

4.00.--Discus Throw.

4.00.--120-Yard Low Hurdles.

4.05.--330-Yard Run.

4.10.--100-Yard Dash, First Heats

4.25.--65-Yard High Hurdles.

4.30.--440-Yard Run.

4.35.--Mile Run.

4.46.--100-Yard Dash, Finals.
