There is now in preparation a new exhibition for the Treasure Room of the Widener Library. The exhibit this time, which will be placed in the Treasure Room early next week, will be an illustration of the writings of Luther and other early Reformation writers, in connection with the four-hundredth anniversary of Luther's appearance before the Diet of Worms, April 18, 1521.
It has been necessary to confine the exhibition strictly to contemporary pamphlets of Luther and his opponents, pamphlets which exist in considerable numbers and are of great interest in relation to early events of the Reformation. Besides the books from the Library's own shelves, the exhibit includes books from the library of Dr. Preserved Smith, a distinguished Luther scholar, and from other private collections including the Morgan Library in New York.
