The first definite steps in the plans for the Freshman Jubilee, will be taken this evening when the class meets in Smith Halls Common Room at 7 o'clock. Dr. Richard C. Cabot '89, and Dean P. P. Chase =00 will speak on the more general aspects of the Jubilee, while Dr. A. T. Davison '06, Director of the University Glee Club, and R. P. Bullard '24 will deal especially with the importance of music as a factor in the success of the Jubilee. A. W. Wright 3M., who will have charge of the preparations until the appointment of a Jubilee Committee by the class officers, will explain the more technical features such as the training of the hall choruses and the program of the Jubilee.

The work of the hall choruses as well as the Freshman Glee Club and Instrumental Club will get under way early next week. Each hall will arrange for their own rehearsals, and it is necessary for men to attend regularly if their dormitory is to be successful in the competition for the silver living cup on the day of the Jubilee. In this competition the number of men as well as the quality of the music will influence the decision of the judges. No musical training of any kind is necessary for participation in the choruses.

The competition for both the words and music of the class song will begin in a few days, and the prize song to be sung by all three halls will be picked. In addition to the prize-song, old college tunes will be used in the competition.
