Henry Trangott Dunker of Davenport, 1a., was elected Freshman track captain yesterday afternoon. Dunker prepared for college at Exeter Academy. Last fall he played on the Freshman football team. During the winter, he went out for track, entering the shot-put and the relay. He ran on the Freshman relay team which entered the B. A. A. games on February 4.

Freshman time trials were held on the new track yesterday, afternoon in preparation for the Exeter meet. In the 100-yard dash de Rahm nosed out Murphy and Barker by about two feet. In the 220-yard dash, one of the closest races of the afternoon, Field succeeded in passing Murphy and de Rahm, in the last ten yards. Murphy and de Rahm were tied for second place. Jones, in the 440-yard dash, jumped into the lead after about 50 yards and was never headed. J. H. Smith, in the half-mile run, stood off Cutcheon's spurt in the last lap successfully and won by about ten feet. In the two-mile run, Chapin set the pace all the way. At the beginning of the third lap, he increased his speed and puled away from the field, finishing at least 100 yards ahead of Sawin who came in second.

The 220-yard low hurdles, which were held inside the Stadium, consisted of two heats. In the first, Fletcher beat out Hull and Clark by several yards. In the second, Clark barely defeated Fletcher, who fell over a hurdle at about the half way mark. Hull did not run in this race.

There were no time trials in the high hurdles, the mile run, or the field events. In these events the same men who faced Andover will compete against Exeter on Saturday.
