The third round of the University squash tournament began yesterday, but none of the four matches in that round were of particular interest. The second round was completely finished, which means that most of the third round matches will be completed today.

Yesterday Captain Dixon defeated Ricketson, 15-0, 15-3. Wakefield, the University champion, Miller, and Baker were the other three victors in the third round matches played yesterday. They defeated in successive sets, Cleveland, Heussy, and Newburger, respectively.

Miller did not survive the afternoon victorious, however, for he and Wakefield played the first match of the fourth round, and Miller was defeated by the University champion in straight sets.

The eight men on the '27 squad are continuing their practice. On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, they play at the University courts, but on the other two days they conduct test matches on the courts in the Freshman gymnasium.
