HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
In their attempt this afternoon to avenge former Harvard victories, the fast Yale backs will have the advantage of a dry afternoon and a 50 degrees temperature, if the weather predictions, made by the Blue Hill Observatory at a late hour last night, hold true. This prediction was given despite the ominous rainy weather of last night and the knowledge that light rains may fall this morning. The sky will undoubtedly be cloudy, but no rain is expected during the hours of the game. "Harvard controls its football weather" can well be said if rain does not interfere with this afternoon's contest, for today will be the eighth consecutive Saturday which has not been visited by the much proclaimed, stormy weather of New England.
