Palmer Calls Liberal a Truth-Seeker

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"A real liberal minded person is one who so respects himself that he respects others who differ with him," said Profesor-emeritus George Herbert Palmer '64 at the Gaduate Schools Society meeting yesterday in the Phillips Brooks House.

"To be liberal one's only end should be to seek the truth. No one can accomplish anything who continually asks himself 'Is this radical?' or 'Is this conservative?' The question is 'Is it the truth?'"

Preceeding Professor Palmer's address were several piano solos by G. W. Woodward '24, accompanist of the University Glee Club. B. K. Little 1G. presided.

Next Sunday afternoon Professor-emeritus Francis Greenwood Peabody '69 will address the Society on "The Great Waste Product."
