EMERSON AND CROOKS PICKED TO COMPETE AT PHILADELPHIA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University will have two entries in the singles event of the American Henley at Philadelphia next Saturday, according to an announcement made last night by Mr. E. A. Wachter, sculling coach. The two men who will represent the Crimson against the pick of collegiate scullers on the Schuylkill are E. D. Emerson E.S. and J. A. Crooks '25.

Crooks won the Carroll cup race on the Basin last Saturday, with Emerson, whose shell upset a short distance from the finish, coming in last. The latter had been favored to win the event, however, and but for his accident, would undoubtedly have made a much better record.
