HARMEL COACH FOR TRIANGULAR DEBATE

Will be Practically Same as That for Interclass Debate--Freshmen Meet Juniors and Seniors Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Debating Council announced last night the coach, P. R. Harmel 1G., and the question, limitation of college entrance enrolment, for the triangular debates with Yale and Princeton on March 21. Beginning with the semi-finals in the interclass series tonight, debating will continue in full swing up to that time.

P. R. Harmel 1G., who will be in charge of the coaching in both the interclass and the University teams, has been a member of University and class debate teams for the past four years, being one of the team which defeated Oxford at Symphony Hall in 1922. He will be assisted by a number of other coaches.

Princeton this year had the privilege of choosing the subject of debate, while the University gave it the final wording. By a curious coincidence the question suggested by Princeton is substantially that of the interclass series. It is as follows: "Resolved: That enrolment in American colleges and universities should be restricted only by raising the standards of competitive entrance attainments."

Discussing this subject with a slightly different working, two Freshman teams and Sophomore and Senior teams will argue tonight at 7.30 o'clock in Harvard 5 and 6 in the semi-finals of the interclass series.
