FIVE FACES CONQUERORS OF YALE AT HEMENWAY

KNAESS AND 5-MAN DEFENSE ARE WACHTER'S CHIEF WORRIES

At 7.45 this evening, 15 minutes earlier than the regular starting hour, the Crimson five will meet the University of Pennsylvania quintet at Hemenway Gymnasium.

The Pennsylvanians are one of the most formidable of the Intercollegiate League teams. Their 29 to 21 victory over Yale was a big upset in league circles, but the Quakers have proved that this showing was no flash in the pan. Their winning streak was only checked last Saturday when Cornell squeezed out a hard-earned win by a 17 to 14 score. The Ithacans are now leading the Intercollegiate League, so their victory over Pennsylvania scarely indicates that the latter team is slipping.

Captain Carmack and Knaess have rivalled each other in scoring honors. The latter was used at center early in the season but the Penn. coach shifted him to forward in order to make the most of his scoring powers. Dessen is the center of a stubborn five-man defense which has kept opposing scores low all the year.
