CRIMSON OVERCOME BY B. A. A. LANDSLIDE

Is only Crimson Skater to Find B. A. A. Net--University's Slump in Second Period Lets in 6 Goals

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

During the first and third periods against the B. A. A. last night, Harvard showed it had not forgotten all its hockey in the Yale game, and held the Unicorn outfit to two tallies. The middle session told another story, however, so that the final score was eight to one.

The game was reminiscent of the Yale debacle last Saturday in more ways than one. Captain Crosby was still wearing his nose guard and Hammond was still toting football shoulder pads, while in the ranks of the opposition Geran's weaving in and out with clever stick play recalled to the handfull of spectators the similar style of Captain O'Hearn. Hill had a hard time filling Hodder's place, but Austin proved himself worthy of the starting position, while the third string subs had their first real work out since the B. U. game two weeks ago.

A minute and a half before the closing gong of the first period, only the referee's whistle for an offside pass saved a score. The whistle didn't do any good, however, for Geran snatched the puck from the face-off and whipped it into the net.

B. A. A. Scores Heavily in Second

The action speeded up in the second session but most of the speeding was done by the B. A. A. players, who registered six times. Gardner slipped a shot through the Boston defense men while Cronin, Geran and Enright officiated for the club team. In at least two of the tallies, Newell got his stick or glove on the rubber but was not able to stop it, although Chase had already slowed down one of them while it was flying through the air.

The third period produced much more speed but only one more score. The Harvard first string kept Roberts and the B. A. A. outer defense busier than ever, but Healy did the only damage when he drove in a not one from the right boards.

Score, B. A. A. 8, Harvard 1. Goals, Geran 3, Cronin 3, Enright, Healy, Gardner. No penalties. Stops, Newell 5, Cumings 5, Roberts 15. Time, three '15-minute periods. Referees, Sands and Stewart.
