Acting Coach Cogan Picks Ponies and Their Masculine Escorts

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Secrecy shrouded the first reading of the Hasty Pudding play yesterday afternoon when Joe de Ganahi '25, co-author in the production, read the first act to 50 members of the club. Following the reading Acting-Coach B. S. Cogan '23 divided the men into two squads, from each of which a man was chosen for each of the principal parts. Ponies and Chorus men were then selected from the remaining candidates with a view to near-feminine pulchritude and masculine beauty.

Preliminary tryouts are to be held next Tuesday evening at 7, when the first act will be taken as a whole, each man reading his part. Cast and chorus rehearsals will start in full swing after the return of Coach Silvers from Chicago.
