LAMPY DROPS BAUBLE AND TAKES TO NURSERY RHYMES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Saint Nicholas Magazine has been selected by the Lampoon board as the subject of its annual parody number, it was announced last night by W. W. Scott '25, president of the Lampoon.

The parody number has for several years been the crowning effort of each Lampoon board. The pseudo-"Boston Transcript" and "Cosmopolitan" have been the most successful in the past decade, but almost a quarter-century ago Lampy scored its biggest coup by publishing an imitation CRIMSON. It was delivered at students' doors on a holiday morning when the regular CRIMSON did not appear, and the more credulous undergraduates were completely taken in.

The closing date for material for the Saint Nicholas number has been announced as March 20. This means that the artists and humorists of the three lower classes, whom Lampy has called to enter a new competition beginning tomorrow, may be among the contributors. The number is scheduled for publication on March 27.
