LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
While the Brown football team was putting the finishing touches on its defeat of the Crimson eleven, outside the Stadium the University soccer men were hanging a 4 to 0 trimming on the Providence booters. Completely outclassing their foes with three goals in the first half, Coach--White's men were held to a single tally in the latter half of the game by the improved teamwork of the Brown eleven.
The feature of the game was the play of Crooks, who substituted for Smith at outside left. A regular fullback, he stepped into the forward position and accounted for two of the three Harvard goals in the first half.
The Victoria Sports Club shut out the University Seconds 4 to 0 and the Freshmen were outclassed by the Durfee Textile eleven, 4 to 1. Superior teamwork sealed the doom of both Crimson aggregations, who were playing teams distinctly out of their class. For the first half the Seconds fought hard, holding their opponents scoreless, but after the intermission the club players rushed the University booters off their feet.
